A Waikiki landmark from the 40s to the 60s, Stewart's was the place to meet and eat. Had a homestyle menu and everyone loved the cornbread.

Stewart's Pharmacy Cornbread
3/4 cup oil
3/4 cup raw sugar
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 cups Bisquick
1 cup milk
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup butter, melted

Cream oil, sugar, eggs and nutmeg. Add and mix thoroughly Bisquick, milk, cornmeal and vanilla. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan and bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 45 minutes or until it has pulled away from sides of pan. Remove from oven and drizzle top with melted butter. Let sit for 10 minutes. Cut into squares.
