It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere Sangria
One 750-ml bottle dry Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc
1 1/2 cups white cranberry or white cranberry-peach cocktail
1/2 cup peach schnapps
Juice of 2 lemons
Juice of 2 limes
1/2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
1 tablespoon superfine sugar
1 lemon, cut into 1-inch-thick slices
1 orange, cut into 1-inch-thick slices
2 peaches, peeled, pitted and cut into wedges
Ice cubes
1 to 2 pints mix of fresh raspberries, blackberries and strawberries
In a gallon pitcher, combine the wine, cranberry juice, schnapps, lemon and lime juice. Add the seeds from the vanilla bean, the sugar and the lemon, orange and peaches. At this point, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. When ready to serve, fill 8-ounce glasses half full of ice cubes and pour sangria over ice. Garnish with berries.
